took a rainy day as a starting point
I let it water me
it didn’t disappoint
remember my eyes then
gleaming and so brave
I wish I could go back
and feel it all again

but you were always late
and I didn’t mind at all
always worth the wait
in the summer and the fall

pictures from my mind
futures dreamt and passed
those times still make me smile
they went by so fast

at my sant’ilario place
where we built our memories
found my voice and found my space
