remember the farce

remember the farce, so close to killing us
except it was not
at least not as sold to us
remember the farce and remember me before
not one to submit to conspiracy galore
remember the days that we had to spend apart
remember the pain deep in your heart of hearts
remember the light
the spring light
the balcony on which you dreamt out your days
so melancholy

remember the farce
remember it now
a year down the line
just how it has played out
remember the days
don’t forget them now
remember how we couldn’t even go out

they waged war on sheep
cos that’s what they are
unable to think like you and I are
they never used guns
they only used screens
a war like this one
no one had ever seen

remember the light
the spring light
the balcony on which you dreamt out your days
so melancholy

and I believe, I believe, I believe…
for you, I’ll always find a way
to hell with everything that’s keeping me away…
